Choose Member Checkout or Guest Checkout in POS
How to attach a member, switch to guest checkout, and avoid common member-context mistakes in POS.
Why checkout context matters
A POS sale can be attached to a member profile or run as guest checkout. Member checkout connects the sale to the member's history and enables member-specific pricing, account credit, access purchases, and check-in prompts. Guest checkout records the sale without a member profile.

Attach a member
In the Member panel, search by name, email, or phone.
Choose the correct member from the results.
Confirm the member name, email, and membership badge appear in the Member panel.
Add items and continue the sale.
If you scan or enter a member QR token while no member is attached, Topo attempts to attach that member before treating the code as a product lookup.
Use guest checkout
Select Checkout as Guest.
Confirm the amber Guest checkout panel appears.
Add items and continue the sale.
Select Add a member instead if you need to return to member checkout.

What Topo changes when you attach a member
Guest checkout is turned off.
Line prices are recalculated in case member pricing applies.
Any available member account credit is applied automatically and clamped to the cart total.
Promotions are re-evaluated against the member and cart lines.

Common errors and fixes
Member not found: check spelling, email, phone, or the selected location.
Detach the current member before switching to guest checkout: clear the member first, then choose guest checkout.
Pick a location for POS before attaching a member: choose a POS location first.
