Handle Multiple Required Waivers
Understand how Topo handles more than one active required waiver and how staff should resolve multi-waiver blockers.
How Topo evaluates required waivers
When checking in a member, Topo evaluates active required waivers that apply to that member and the selected location. If any applicable required waiver is missing, expired, invalidated, or pending staff review, check-in can be blocked.
Where multiple waivers show up
The waiver list shows each waiver and whether it is the signup waiver or an additional waiver.
The member profile Waivers card shows signed, expired, invalidated, and pending links by waiver.
The check-in blocker message can list the waiver names that need attention.
When sending a waiver from a member profile, staff can choose which active waiver to send.
Recommended operating pattern
Use one main signup waiver for ordinary member signup and check-in.
Use additional waivers for special programs, youth activities, trips, competitions, or other narrower cases.
Name waivers clearly so staff can distinguish them under pressure.
Use location availability and applicability settings so the right waivers apply to the right members and locations.
Train front desk staff to resolve the named blocker, not just send the first waiver they see.
Resolve a multi-waiver blocker
Open the member profile from the check-in blocker.
Review the Waivers card and identify each waiver that is missing, expired, invalidated, or pending review.
Send the correct waiver link for each missing or expired waiver.
For minors, confirm the guardian recipient before sending.
After the member or guardian signs, retry check-in at the same location.
Common issues and fixes
Staff sent the wrong waiver: resend the specific waiver named in the blocker and leave a staff note if needed.
A waiver should not block this location: edit the waiver's location availability.
A waiver should apply only to guardians or only to members: review the waiver applicability setting before sending more links.
Segment sends skipped minors: send minor waivers from the member profile so Topo can route the link to the guardian.
