Before you start
Use a staff role with marketing permissions for subscribers, segments, broadcasts, sequences, forms, referrals, or promotions.
Know whether the record is a member, a member-linked subscriber, or a standalone subscriber.
Respect unsubscribe status, consent notes, list membership, and category preferences.
Verify sender-domain setup before bulk email.
Use segments and lists deliberately so staff can explain why someone received a message.
Steps
Open Subscribers.
Add one subscriber manually or open the import modal for a CSV.
Choose a target list and provide consent attestation when importing.
Run a dry run to preview added, updated, skipped, and error rows.
Complete the import, then review filters, lists, preferences, and member-link status.
Use bulk actions to subscribe, unsubscribe, assign lists, or remove lists.
What happens after saving or completing this
Topo saves the record in your gym account and updates the related staff screens.
Member-facing visibility, checkout behavior, access, email delivery, inventory, or reports may change depending on the workflow.
Review the affected profile, checkout, signup page, report, or audience before considering the task complete.
Common issues and fixes
Dry run errors should be fixed before the real import.
A standalone subscriber is not a member profile.
Bulk resubscribe should only be used when you have permission to email those contacts.
Bulk send is disabled: verify sender-domain setup and confirm the environment allows real marketing sends.
Recipients are skipped: check subscription status, category preferences, selected lists, selected segments, and whether the audience has subscribed recipients.
AI or automation content looks wrong: update the source Help Docs, templates, or sequence steps, then review the draft before sending.
