Invalidate a Waiver Signature
Mark a waiver signature as no longer current while preserving the signed record for history.
When invalidation is appropriate
The wrong person signed for the member.
A guardian relationship was corrected and the minor needs a new signature.
Your gym determines that a signature should no longer satisfy check-in requirements.
A new waiver version or policy update requires a fresh signature.
Before invalidating
Review the signature detail page and confirm the signer, covered member, waiver version, signed date, and current status.
Decide whether you are invalidating one signature, one member's current waiver status, or every current signature on a waiver.
Have a plan to send a re-sign link if the waiver is required for check-in.
Invalidate and request a re-sign
Open Staff > Admin > Waivers and choose the waiver.
Open All signatures and find the signature, or open the member profile and use the Waivers card to identify the current signature.
If an Invalidate action is available for the signature, use it to mark the signature invalidated and send a re-sign notice.
If you need to invalidate everyone on the waiver, use Invalidate & re-sign from the waiver detail page instead.
If you only need a fresh signature from one member and no individual invalidate action is visible, send a new waiver or re-sign link from the member profile and add an internal note explaining the reason.
What happens next
The old signature remains available for history and audit review.
The signature no longer counts as current.
If the waiver is required and applies to the member, check-in can be blocked until the member or guardian signs again.
A re-sign email is sent when the invalidation workflow has a deliverable member email and notification is enabled.
Common issues and fixes
The signature already shows invalidated: do not repeat the action; resend a link from the member profile if needed.
The member has no email: update the member or guardian email before sending a link.
The member is a minor: make sure the guardian relationship and guardian email are correct before sending.
